I mean, I knew I had a lot of manga, but didn't realize I had so much. :D

Let's see, found a Negima Roleplay Forum. I'm tempted to join the one that Yue helps runs, but I need to find out how to do original characters, b/c there is a lack of available male canon-characters, and I'd rather not play a female right now. Though for the new one I found, they are (somehow) lacking a Negi, so I'm applying as him. Working on his application now. (They are lacking a Yue... *hint hint*)

Anyways, finished up missions CoP2-3 and Z4. CoP2-3 was flawless. Of course karma slapped us (since a lot who went on 2-3 went to Z4), and Z4 was so fecking painful. Maybe it was just that Domant led it, but jebus! Okay, first off, after we finished up 2-3, Domant d/ced, so we had to wait on him... well the problem being he d/ced in the Phomiuna Aqueducts, and the rest of us left, not realizing he d/ced. So we had to wait on him then, and as he tried (and failed) to get out of the Aquaeducts alone). So then we meet up at the Temple of Uggalepih (say that three times fast!), and are still waiting on Dom. Once the whole group arrives, we go in, and it's like some sort of nightmare getting down to the Sacrifical Chamber... everyone, including myself and Rath become retarded in some way! What shouldn't have taken more than 2 hours ended up taking like... 4-5. Grrr. Anyways, by the time we get down there, Ain and Yasuki (the paladin and only tank) are getting close to having to go, so Dom organizes the groups with Ain going second. *twitch* What? Did he miss the three or so times she had said it before? Anyways, we go in, and I'm thankful Dom goes first b/c after slaughtering our way through the Tonberries (not that hard), we get out and Yas has to go, and so does Ain, and we still have some people who need to go through. Thankfully Ardneth came to our rescue and we were able to politely tell Dom to go the hell away. Seriously, it was so bad that we started talking about him on LS chatter. XD Luckily he's SNTA, so he couldn't hear us, but as we are running through a high aggro zone for me (and I'm 10 levels higher than him) he lets Invis drop... note, invis lets you know a good 5-10 seconds out that it's dropping, so you have time to go to somewhere safe. But no, he doesn't go back, he just plows ahead like a dumbass, and dies. And then he d/cs while being dead! Great... so there we are, Rath and I are safe due to our level in where we were, but poor Drix was still a ball of squishy death if anything saw him, waiting on Dom to get back so we could rez him. Once he did get back, instead of taking chances with him dying again, Rath and I just played Tractor Leapfrog all the way to the zoneline. Was quite amusing for me to watch. And from it we've got a new SN term. Tractoring someone to safety is Domanting them (much like forgetting a key quest item/cs is pulling an FGM). Dom's starting to plan a Z5 run, and I've already decided that I'm going to be busy with... other stuff. I don't care, I'll solo the damned thing if I have to, but I'm not gonna be working with him again... or at least, I'm not going to do something he runs. Bleh.

Oh, and I got stamped as Roxas over at Keyblade Rating, but no cool lil' image to link yet b/c I'm the first Roxas! :D Score!

Well that's about it for now.

I would like to think I wasn't too bad on the run, but wandering around by myself turned out to be less than great. Did teach me a lot about the Den of Rancor though. I still say wandering around solo is the best way to learn an area.

My other "boneheaded" move would probably be trying to tractor Ain early... overall, it worked out well, but in retrospect, I should have left things alone and waited til everyone was up.

For those of you who actually play FFXI, here was the situation. A group of about 6 were hiding out in a corner keeping a single tonberry slept while people recovered from death. Everyone is either raised or close to being so, except for Ainyan. She is lying dead on the opposite side of the room. The only things close to her are bats, and since you can cast Tractor without losing sneak, I can safely pull her closer to us. However, there are two tonberry close enough to see me if they turn in that direction. I move close enough to Ainyan to cast the spell, and wait for both Tonberry to face away. Once they do, I cast Tractor.

Problem #1: Just as I finish casting Tractor, one of the tonberry turns. If I was really firing on all cylinders, I would have run back to the group immediately and slept it when it got close. Instead (since there was a pillar between us, after all) I decide to gamble that he hasn't seen me yet and recast sneak. As it turned out, he had seen me, and so wanders over and swings at me, which means I lose sneak. Thus two bats agro along with the tonberry.

I move closer to the group (but still not close enough that they can't avoid agro by staying in the corner), and cast sleepga. This puts the tonberry and one of the bats to sleep, but the other resists.

Problem #2: While I'm trying to put the other to sleep so I can heal myself and possibly logout to shed hate completely, Domant wanders over and provokes... I think the tonberry.

If he hadn't done that, the worst outcome would have been my own death and the loss of about 600 XP. Instead he's dragged the whole group into the situation.

Problem #3: And of course, once all that starts, the tonberry from the other side agros as well. In total, we went from having one tonberry that we kept slept easily to having two bats and three tonberries, two of which were BLMs. Not the greatest outcome.

We recovered well enough once people took out the bats (we only had BLMs and RDMs, and thus sleeping bats, even for a lvl 75, was a tricky proposition).

Oh I'm not really blaming you, and you did good, it's just we all were at least a little stupid during that run. My bonehead move was when we had all three tonberries over, and they were all asleep, I tried to heal someone... problem was that my macro for healing is right next to my macro for my (from BLM sub) Elemental debuff... and I use [bt] in most of my combative macros, so I proceeded to cast Shock on one of the Tonberries... in fact it was one of the BLM Tonberries. Grrr. So mid fight, there I am, meleeing and "tanking" one of the BLM Tonberries b/c I'll be damned if I let someone else die b/c I screwed up. Heh. I pretty much kept it attacking me until Shock wore off, at which point, back to sleep it went. But in some way, we were all a little stupid. I think you, Drix, and Uruki are the only ones who didn't die at least once during that run. >.>

Drix avoids Gacking... Stunned by own Good Fortune...

Yeah I lucked out and didn't gack. (Drix here.) It's a miracle, really. I'm not exactly sure *how* I avoided it, but I did. I figured something would start munching on my head when people started dying around the 4-torch door. Somehow I went unnoticed.

Oh and Kaz, I think my manga collection could probably be used for a small library. Just between GTO and Kenshin I have over 50, and that's not even close to touching all the series I keep up with. -.- I have no restraint, especially when my local nerd shop has a sale. The only manga I won't try is Mahjongg manga, 'cos I don't know how to play. >.> (By the way, Iron Wok Jan is the best series ever, just for sheer weirdness. I had no idea there was such a thing as cooking manga.)

Reminds me, I should really have a clearout sale of manga I don't read anymore, since I could use the space. (Like Ranma and other Rumiko Takahashi titles. Read one, and you've read them all, really.)

I don't want to even imagine what my manga collection would look like if I pulled the whole mess out. It fills up multiple bookshelves. >

Haha, I don't know how much manga I have at the moment... I stopped counting but it is probably around 110-120 or something ^_^

Haha, I'll have to check that other rp out if thats the case. Well, in ours we've had lots of applications for 'male teachers who serve as a mentor to Negi' type characters and it really doesn't work. Either that or it is a 'super allmighty mage' type wich doesn't fit either. So if you can break the mold just pitch something with what you have in mind for a character, Name, Age, all that standard stuff, and I should be able to work you in.

I'VE GOT IT! I'LL MAKE... *trumpets start blaring in the background* A COMPLETELY NORMAL PERSON! *trumpets taper off in disappointment*

(with the current Kotarou's permission) I'll be introduced to the group via him, I'm one of his fellow students, and a new-found friend. For a name, how about Shoichi Sano (Shoichi is his family name). He has a slightly above average intelligence (an IQ of maybe 110-120). He plays futball (soccer) and practices martial arts. Age is 10-11, and he met Kotarou b/c Kotarou was getting picked on by three upperclassmen, for his looks, and before he could respond Sano came to Koutarou's rescue. Three on one, they had no problem with, but three on two, one of them might actually get hurt, so they left. Of course Kotarou didn't like this one bit, claiming he could have taken all three of them at once. Sano replied by asking if he knew martial arts, and when Kotarou replied that he did, Sano asked him if he wanted to spar some time, and from this a friendship spouted. Sano has no magical abilities, no chi abilities, his martial art capabilities are on slightly below master level, has no direct connection to any of the girls in 3-A, nor Negi. Basically it's a situation of this normal guy being thrown in amongst these superpowered beings, and him attempting to survive.
At a later date, after he's been in the group for a while, I might have him learn from Takamichi... maybe.

Thanks for the offer Epi. ^^ May very well take you up on that offer, but for now, I think I'm gonna wait a bit on Z5-8 (unless Sci or Ikk start threatening me with bodily harm >.>)

I'd have stayed, but as it was, we didn't get home from the store until about 10:30pm - 30 min after the store closes. Lucky, these people are nice and didn't force us out.

I'll probably go on the z5 run... if I can't find better help. I want sky access.
